Job Title: Industrial Cleaning Operative
Location: Basildon. SS14 3AD
Reporting to: Cleaning Supervisor
Hours of work: Evening shift :Monday to Thursday 15:30 to 00:30 and Friday 12:30 to 17:30, totalling 39 hours per week.

Flexibility with regards to working hours and duties is essential.
Principle Function

You will be working as part of the evening industrial cleaning team, with your role involving the following industrial cleaning schedules, which will mainly be within the manufacturing areas.

Duties will include;
Cleaning of confined space areas on site.
Cleaning of paint shop areas.
Cleaning of floor areas using both manual cleaning and machines.
Being part of the on-site confined space rescue team, for which suitable training will be provided.
Other cleaning duties as may be from time to time required.
Skills, experience and abilities required include;
Industrial cleaning experience is recommended.
Ideally you will hold a confines space rescue certificate already, although training will be provided for the suitable candidate.
Ideally you will already hold PASMA and IPAF training, although training will be provided for the suitable candidate.
Ability to pass cleaning machine training.
Ability to learn an awareness of chemicals and the risks associated with their use.
Ability to understand and follow method statements, risk assessments and other work instructions.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to walk, move, bend and lift as required during the cleaning process.
You will be expected to work within safety rules at all times and report any safety issues or concerns to your line manager.
To respond to Management and Client requests appropriately.
To take appropriate action in the event of finding janitorial issues.
To report any health and safety issues.

Payment:
This is an hourly paid role requiring the use of a clocking machine.
£12.38 per hour, paid weekly.
