Job Description

Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Basildon SS14 3AD

Reporting to: Security Supervisor

Hours of work: Average of 42 hours per week working a shift pattern that includes, days,
nights and weekends.

Flexibility with regards to working hours and duties is essential.

Principle Function:

You will be working as part of a team of security professionals, providing for
round the clock security and safety of our clients site in Basildon.
You will be a member of the wider security team which will include
responding to fire and confined space emergencies.

Duties will include;
Ensuring the safety and security of the site.
Providing confined space rescue in case of emergency.
Providing an initial response to incidents of fire, or other
emergencies on site.
Carrying out security patrols as required.
Providing access control on site when manning one of the gate
houses.
Monitoring the CCTV system and responding in accordance with the
site instructions.
Skills, experience and abilities required include;
A full and clean driving license is essential, as you may from time to
time need to operate site vehicles.
SIA license is essential.
Ideally you will already hold a confined space rescue certificate,
thought suitable training will be given to the successful candidate.
Ability to pass fire training.
Ability to understand and follow method statements, risk
assessments and other work instructions.
Good communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team.
The ability to walk, move, bend and lift as required by the site
duties.
You will be expected to work within safety rules at all times and report any
safety issues or concerns to your line manager.
To respond to Management and Client requests appropriately.
To take appropriate action in the event of finding security issues.
To report any health and safety concerns.

Payment: This is an hourly paid role requiring the use of a clocking machine.
£11.22 per hour, paid monthly.
